Description
I think this will be my last Chrzanoska Tribute - A Trilogy is a nice number so here is the final piece of the three.
The more I study this woman's extraordinary work, the more I'm inspired to paint it. Oddly she only painted a few pieces and then just kind of vanished. So where ever she may be, I hope these Tribute paintings make her happy and that she feels I've justice to her incredible talent.
To see her original painting that I used as a reference, please see my scrap gallery.
I did the usual things here - changed the eyes and lips, distortions of features with the help of photoshop, changed the head dress to something a bit different and added the black pearls and the intricate design in the head piece (and man did I NOT KNOW WHAT I WAS GETTING INTO THERE!!! ) - I wanted it to look more Gothic, like she is sneaking up on you... Bram Stoker sortof thing without being too over the top. I hope I pulled that off without hurting the beauty of the original piece too much.
I changed a few other things here and there and of course the color, curves and contrast. Hope you enjoy.

This reminds me of a Byzantine or old Russian icon, it's beautiful!
